MURFREESBORO – Middle Tennessee's home opener on Sept. 19 against Troy will now be broadcast nationally on ESPNU at 3 PM. The game was previously set to appear on ESPN3 or ESPN+ as part of the Conference USA television partnership.
The Blue Raiders and Troy will play a home-and-home this season due to changes in the schedule by COVID-19.
Middle Tennessee and Troy were Sun Belt Conference rivals with the game annually billed as "The Battle for the Palladium." The first meeting was in 1936 but The Battle for the Palladium began in 2003.
