SAN ANTONIO – Middle Tennessee () used a four run second, and a three-run homerun by Darrell Freeman Jr. to put away UTSA (8-12, 1-2) and picking up the series clinching win, 9-4.
Freeman's homerun was just what the Blue Raiders needed, as they held onto just a two-run lead heading into the 8th inning. The homerun by Freeman was his second in as many days and it pushed the Blue Raider ahead by five runs at that point.
But the Roadrunners came back in the bottom half of the inning, scoring two runs to bring it back within three runs.
