MT names 181 student-athletes to C-USA Honor Roll

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee placed 181 student-athletes on the annual Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll for their academic efforts during the 2016-17 academic year, C-USA Commissioner Judy MacLeod announced Thursday.

Student-athletes named to the honor roll must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Student-athletes with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better will also receive the Commissioner's Academic Medal. Those recipients will be announced Friday.

Football led the way with 45 student-athletes making the list, a 66.67 percentage increase from last season. Baseball, women's golf, soccer, softball, men's and women's tennis, women's track and field and volleyball each had at least 80 percent of its rosters represented on the Honor Roll.
