MT grabs two Top 10 marks on day one of Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Middle Tennessee recorded a pair of top 10 finishes Thursday for a successful start at the 123rd annual Penn Relays.

Elizabeth Dadzie jump started the weekend in the women's long jump. The senior registered a leap of 5.97 meters to finish fourth in the event.

The Blue Raiders also excelled in the women's 4x400-meter relay. The quartet of Janet Amponsah, Agnes Abu, Loveth Odia and Abike Egbeniyi placed first in the third heat and eighth overall to claim a spot in Saturday's Championship Invitational.

On the men's side, Amos Cheruiyot finished among the top 30 collegians in the men's 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 14:34.
