MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee will once again be represented on the biggest stage in tennis when John Peers and Andreas Siljestrom compete in the Gentlemen's Doubles at Wimbledon.
Peers is currently ranked No. 10 in doubles in the world and will partner with Henri Kontinen in this year's tournament. The Melbourne, Australia, native played for the Blue Raiders from 2008-10 before transferring to Baylor for his senior season. Peers earned All-Sun Belt Singles and Doubles honors in 2009 and 2010, as well as the Sun Belt Tournament Most Outstanding Player award in 2009.
The pair will face Nicholas Monroe and Donald Young from the United States in the first round.
