MURRAY, KY. — After three complete innings against Murray State (29-21, OVC 17-10) onTuesday afternoon, Middle Tennessee's (23-27-1, C-USA 12-19-1) game with the Racers was canceled due to rain.
MT led the game 2-0 as play was suspended heading into the top of the fourth inning. Because only three games were complete, the game will not be counted as an official game.
Freshman Carter Edge roped a leadoff double down the line in left field for his first career hit in his first at-bat of the game in the top of the second inning, starting a rally in which fellow freshman Bryce Symlar and Briggs Rutter both picked up RBIs on a pair of sacrifice flies to give Middle Tennessee an early 2-0 advantage.
