MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee welcomed UAB into town on Sunday afternoon riding a wave of momentum. Having clinched a spot in the postseason with a 2-0 shutout of conference foe UTEP, the Blue Raiders had a shot to extend the winning streak to four.
Defensively, the Blue Raiders certainly did enough to get the job done, allowing just one goal on five shots on net. That one goal proved to be enough, however, for UAB to steal its third road victory of the year with a 1-0 win.
UAB controlled possession for much of the match's first 15 minutes, totaling four of its five first-half shots in that period of time.
