MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee men's basketball rode a dominant second half to a C-USA win on Saturday, holding Southern Miss to just 36.4 percent shooting from the field in the final 20 minutes to power past the Golden Eagles 74-60 at the Murphy Center.
After trailing by as much as 20-8 in the first half, the Blue Raiders (12-6, 3-2 C-USA) powered back to cut the lead to just three points at the half, before using a 21-4 run early in the second half to take the lead for good over USM (6-12, 1-4 C-USA).
