MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee softball (16-20, 4-6) was lead by the long ball on Thursday night to claim the series opener over FIU (13-19, 1-6).
FIU jumped out to an early three-run lead in the top of the first with a three-run home run. Bailey Grossenbacher would hit her fourth long ball of the year to tie for the Panthers team lead.
