JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – Middle Tennessee softball (15-20, 3-6) dropped its game on Sunday at Jacksonville State (12-20, 2-4).
Jacksonville State threatened to score early with two runners on in the first inning, but was able to get out of the inning scoreless. Carcich made her 14 start and looked to claim her CUSA league tying 10 win.
The Gamecocks started Kat Carter in the circle for Sunday's Series finale. Carter struck out nine Blue Raider batters in game two on Saturday.
MTSU jumped ahead early thanks to third home run of the weekend that came in the top of the second inning.
