HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Middle Tennessee (11-13, 2-4 C-USA) was able to fight its' way out to a four-run lead in the middle innings, but was unable to claw its' way back after Alabama (20-6, 2-4 SEC) had two innings of four-plus run production in a 10-4 loss at Toyota Field in Huntsville, Alabama.
After going without a single baserunner the first time through the lineup, Middle Tennessee broke through in the fourth inning in a big way. After JT Mabry and Brett Coker singled to lead off the inning, three-hole hitter Jeremiah Boyd sent his team-high fifth home run of the season over the wall in center to give the Blue Raiders a 3-0 lead.
