Round 1 Results The Blue Raiders scuffled a little in the early going, but finished the day strong with a mark of 6-under through their final five holes to climb six spots up the leaderboard and back into striking distance of the leaders. Senior Marcus Byrd led the way for MT in Friday's opening round, using four birdies in his final five holes to jump into a tie for sixth place with a 2-under par 70 on the day.
