RUSTON, La. – Middle Tennessee softball (34-17, 13-10 C-USA) had five athletes named to C-USA All-Conference teams, announced by the league office Tuesday, May 9.
Laura Mealer was named to the All-Conference First Team as an infielder. Mealer led C-USA in almost every major hitting category as a sophomore this season. The Chapel Hill, Tennessee native led in batting average (.402), slugging percentage (.720), on base percentage (.487), runs scored (58), hits (66) and RBI (47).
Earning All-Conference Second Team honors, Shelby Echols and Julia Garcia claimed two of the infield spots, while Amaya Harris claimed an outfield spot.
