MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – After the scorching start to her senior season continued this week in Lexington, Middle Tennessee women's golfer Hanley Long was named Conference USA's Female Golfer of the Week for the first time in 2018-19.
Long fired a 3-under par 213 (70-70-73) at Kentucky's Bettie Lou Evans Invitational to tie for fourth in the field of 75 golfers and extend her streak of consecutive competitions with a Top 10 finish to five, four of which have seen her land inside the Top 5.
"It's great for Hanley to be recognized by Conference USA as Golfer of the Week after the bod of work she has put together not just this week, but the whole year," Head Coach Chris Adams said.
