CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee baseball grinded out a 10-5 victory over Western Carolina Wednesday night at AT&T Field.
Winners of three of their past four, the Blue Raiders (4-6) scored five runs in the top of the ninth, part of a span of seven unanswered runs in the final two innings to take down WCU (4-5).
Leading another offensive surge for MT was Nathan Sanders, who tied a career high in hits with four in five trips to the plate. Sanders drove in and scored two runs.
Brett Coker hit two go-ahead RBI singles, one in the fifth to give the Blue Raiders a 3-2 lead, and another in the ninth to put the Blue Raiders up 6-5.
