MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee locked down defensively and hit a spark offensively to ignite a 15-0 run midway through the fourth quarter that carried the Lady Raiders to a 84-65 win against Florida Atlantic in the Conference USA opener Friday night.
The Lady Raiders (3-3, 1-0) won their third straight overall and fifth consecutive C-USA game dating back to last season.
The stars were aplenty for Lady Raiders who topped the 80-point mark for the third straight game for the first time since midway through the 2016-17 season. Leading the high-octane attack was the nation's leading scorer, Anastasia Hayes, who poured in a game-high 34 points.
