GREENVILLE, S.C. – Middle Tennessee answered its first road test by displaying some big-time moxie with a riveting 78-71 comeback victory against Furman Sunday afternoon.
Playing its second game in less than 48 hours, Middle Tennessee (2-0) trailed by 12, 57-45, with 4:09 remaining in the third quarter, but showed tremendous poise and determination to stun the Paladins (1-1) on their home court.
"This was a game where you see what you are made of," said sophomore Anna Jones, who scored 13 points and pulled five rebounds. "Everyone did their job. Everyone contributed.
