Lady Raiders roll to 74-55 win

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Middle Tennessee turned up the defensive pressure to secure a 74-55 win against Florida Atlantic and complete the weekend sweep in its Conference USA opener here Saturday.

The Lady Raiders (11-4, 2-0) jumped out to a 16-3 first-quarter lead and never looked back on its way to the win in absence of Head Coach Rick Insell, who missed the weekend swing due to illness. Assistant Coach Matt Insell, Rick's son, was the acting head coach.

Middle Tennessee forced a season-high 29 turnovers and scored 29 points off of those Florida Atlantic miscues.
