HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Middle Tennessee women's basketball pulled away late on Wednesday night, holding Tennessee scoreless across the final four minutes of the game to defeat the Lady Vols 73-62 in the Probst Arena at the Von Braun Center.
The Lady Raiders (7-3) held a four-point advantage at halftime, shooting 7-for-12 from beyond the arc in the game's first 20 minutes to power their way to a 37-33 lead. Sifa Ineza gave MTSU that four-point lead with a steal and buzzer-beating three-pointer off a spin move in transition, sending the Lady Raider fans in attendance in Huntsville into a frenzy as time expired.
