GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Middle Tennessee women's tennis team fell to Furman, 4-1, on Friday afternoon at the Mickel Tennis Center.
The Paladins swiftly struck first to claim the doubles point with wins on all three courts over the Raiders.
In singles play, Furman remained strong to overpower the Raiders.
Lee Barnard fell to No. 13 Katarina Kozarov, 6-0, 6-0, followed by Julia Adams outlasting junior Zani Barnard, 6-3, 6-3, to advance Furman's lead to 3-0 over the Raiders.
On court 4, senior Lidia Burrows notched a win for the Blue Raiders with a tight 6-1, 7-5 match.
