Tennessee Elite Director Roger Herrold and his team of colleagues start the planning process for Nashville's Elite Invitational softball tournament nine months in advance. "It's well worth it," said Herrold.

This will be the first time the tournament has been held in La Vergne. With the tournament approaching, Tennessee Elite wanted to give local athletes a chance to impress college coaches with a day camp.

"It's a good opportunity for coaches to come see the girls play and how they get along with others," he said.

Coaches from Belmont, MTSU, TSU and the University of Memphis are just a few of the colleges who showed up to scout new talent.
