El Paso, Texas – The Middle Tennessee women's soccer team (4-6-0, 1-1 CUSA) won its first conference match tonight on the road against UTEP (3-4-3, 0-1-1 CUSA) in a midweek, 2-0 win over the Miners in El Paso, Texas.
The win tonight improves the Blue Raiders Conference USA record to 1-1 with one match remaining in their road trip on Sunday against New Mexico State.
The first 25 minutes of the match remained scoreless with most of the play controlled in the midfield, as well as the Blue Raider defensive half.
