Smyrna and Riverdale both know they'll be competing in the TSSAA state playoffs, but when the two square off Friday night in the Murfreesboro Kia Game of the Week, they'll be battling for postseason positioning.
Riverdale is still in a good spot in terms of finishing in the top four and hosting a first-round playoff game, but a victory would assure the Warriors a home game in the playoffs.
Smyrna, meanwhile, is still in the hunt to tie for the Region 2 regular season title should it defeat the Warriors and beat league leader Oakland in the regular-season finale in Week 11.
