MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Sophomore right-hander Zach Keenan has been named the C-USA Pitcher of the Week for his dominating start versus Bowling Green in the season opener.
"Keenan had a great outing in the season opener," head coach Jim Toman said. "He consistently got ahead in counts and kept his pitch count down."
The Suwanee, Georgia native is the first pitcher to win the award this season and is the first Blue Raider to earn any player of the week honors since Drew Huff did last season.
Against Bowling Green, Keenan dominated early, going 4 1/3 innings without allowing a baserunner until a Bowling Green bunt ended the perfect game bid.
