MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Freshman infielder Jana Want was named Conference USA Freshman of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday, February 10.
Over the five games at The Spring Games this past weekend, Want recorded a .563 batting average, a .632 on-base percentage, an .813 slugging percentage and a 1.445 OPS. All those marks were the best by a freshman in CUSA. Amongst all student-athletes in the conference with double-digit plate appearances, Want's on-base percentage ranks third in the conference, her batting average is sixth, her OPS is seventh and her slugging percentage is eighth.
