MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Following a strong performance on the road in SEC country, Middle Tennessee freshman Tyson Jackson has collected Conference USA Freshman of the Week honors.
The 6-foot-9 forward posted 14 points and eight rebounds in 31 minutes at Ole Miss on Saturday, going a perfect 7-for-7 from the field in front of a hostile crowd of over 7,300 inside the Pavilion.
The 14 points, eight rebounds and seven field goals made all set or matched career highs for the youngest player on Middle Tennessee's roster.
A Fairburn, Ga., product, Jackson upped his season field goal percentage to 61.
