Jackson, Tenn. — Tate Heintzelman started his Blue Raider career strong Monday, carding back-to-back rounds of 71 (-1) to end the first day of the Grover Page Classic in a tie for 10th place at 142 (-2). The Granger, Ind., native is one of three MTSU golfers competing as individuals in the tournament hosted by UT Martin at Jackson Country Club. Heintzelman, Markus Varjun and Drew Miller combined for four under-par rounds on the day.
On a sunny mid-September day with temperatures reaching the mid-90s, the Blue Raiders seemed to get stronger as the day went on, as all three were under par in the second round.
