MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee junior guard Anastasia Hayes has been named to the Dawn Staley Award Late Season Watch List, the Phoenix Club of Philadelphia announced Friday.
Established by the Phoenix Club of Philadelphia in 2013, the Dawn Staley Award annually recognizes the nation's best guard in Division I women's basketball. The award is given annually to a player who exemplifies the skills that Staley possessed throughout her career: ball handling, scoring, her ability to distribute the basketball and her will to win.
"I don't think there's any doubt Anastasia Hayes is one of the best guards in the country," Lady Raider Head Coach Rick Insell said.
