MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee sophomore Anastasia Hayes had a strong opening week in her first two games as a Lady Raider.
Monday her efforts were rewarded as Hayes was named co-Conference USA Player of the Week, along with UAB guard Miyah Barnes.
Hayes, the daughter of Arnett and Sherry Hayes, averaged 17.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 6.5 assists in games at East Carolina and against No. 13 Kentucky.
"It felt great to be back on the court and competing," Hayes said. "I just want to continue to build off of these first two games and help our team win basketball games.
