Former Middle Tennessee head football coach William Bethule "Bill" Peck, 90, of Grand Island, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017.
Peck led the Blue Raiders from 1970 to 1974 where he compiled a record of 27-25-2. He took over a program that went 1-9 in 1969 and improved the Blue Raiders to a mark of 6-3-1 in 1970. Peck was the 10th coach in school history.
Born in Hackensack, New Jersey, William served in the US Army during World War II. William graduated from Stetson University in 1951 and began his coaching career at Leesburg High School, Leesburg, FL.
