Eagleville put together an outstanding game on both sides of the ball Friday, which resulted in a 40-0 shutout at Huntland.
"I was really pleased with our kids effort," Eagleville coach Floyd Walker. "It's always good to get through the opener with a win.
"We really played together as a team -- offensively, defensively and on special teams, and that the first time we've done in a long time."
The Eagles used a dominant running game as they raced out to a 26-0 halftime lead.
Quarterback Ethan Cobb, known for his passing prowess, rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns.
