JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee men's tennis suffered a setback on Wednesday on the road at East Tennessee State by a score of 6-1.
The Buccaneers struck first by winning the doubles point. ETSU took 6-1 victories at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. and were unable to finish their match at No. 3, but were ahead, 4-3, when their match was halted.
ETSU's Ismael Merino opened up singles play by winning 6-2, 6-1 at No. 5. Although the match at No. 4 ended in two sets, MT's fought hard, but was unable to come away with the win.
