MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee right-handed pitcher Aaron Brown has been named Conference USA Pitcher of the Week for his performance against FIU on Friday.
The Blue Raider starting pitcher became just the eighth pitcher in program history to record 100 strikeouts in a single season in his start on Friday. To go along with the massive milestone, Brown's outing also marked the fourth time this season in which he struck out nine or more batters and allowed no walks in a game. Brown made his exit after pitching eight innings, fanned a total of 11 Panthers and allowed no runs in the Blue Raider's 3-0 win over FIU.
