FRANKLIN - Rutherford County claimed a pair of titles at the TSSAA Class AAA state wrestling tournament last weekend - one of which may have been more surprising to some than the other.
Riverdale junior Nick Boykin, who won the 285-pound title as a sophomore, closed out an undefeated season with his 39-second pin of Jefferson County's Logan Townsend in Saturday night's championship finals at the Williamson County Ag Expo, while Blackman junior Matthew Sells won the 160-pound crown with a 9-3 decision over Alex Jeffers of Kingsport Dobyns-Bennett.
