MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee men's tennis head coach Jimmy Borendame has announced the addition of assistant coach Josh McDermott to the coaching staff for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
McDermott is a native of Queenstown, New Zealand and has served as a graduate assistant coach with the Belmont men's tennis program for the previous two seasons. He also served as an interim head coach for a portion of the spring 2024 season.
In 2024, McDermott helped the Bruins win their second consecutive Horizon League regular season title. Senior Alfred Wallin received Horizon League Player of the Year, and three players received First Team All-Conference honors.
