CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Middle Tennessee freshman Anastasiia Boldyreva has been coming of age during the last month.
The 6-foot-6 center had a coming out party Sunday as she led Middle Tennessee to an exhilarating 46-45 win against Conference USA East Division leader Charlotte Sunday afternoon.
Boldyreva poured in a career-high 22 points, pulled six rebounds, and blocked three shots. She connected on 10-of-15 field goals, including 2-of-2 from 3-point range, in her most dominant performance as a Lady Raider.
Middle Tennessee (17-5, 9-3) pulled to within one-half game of Charlotte (13-8, 9-2) for the East Division lead.
