HUNTSVILLE, Texas –The Middle Tennessee women's soccer team (7-8-0, 4-3-0 CUSA) fell 2-1 to the Sam Houston Bearkats (7-6-2, 4-3-0 CUSA) today on the road in Huntsville, Texas after a heartbreaking goal in the 87 minute to snap their three-match winning streak.
Middle Tennessee drops to fifth in the Conference USA table following the loss to Sam Houston with the Blue Raiders remaining just two points behind second-placed Liberty. The two programs will face each other on Sunday, Oct. 27 in Lynchburg.
Early in the match, Sam Houston's offense required MTSU goalkeeper into a pair of saves in the opening six minutes to keep the scoreline level at 0-0.
