VESTAL, N.Y. – Middle Tennessee defeated Binghamton 7-4 on Friday evening at the Bearcats Baseball Complex.
The Bearcats (17-24, 7-11 AEC) struck first, plating a trio of runs in the fourth inning. The Blue Raiders (16-29, 5-13 CUSA) would proceed to slowly chip away at Binghamton's lead, plating a run in the fifth inning on a Cale Vinson solo home run and one in the sixth after Jackson Galloway hit into a double play.
In the seventh, C. Vinson hit his second solo shot of the night to knot things up at three runs apiece, before Briggs Rutter exploded for a three-run home run to give MTSU a 6-3 lead.
