MACON, Ga. — Middle Tennessee secured a thrilling 8-7 victory over Alabama State, thanks to a three-run, walk-off home run by Lexi Medlock. The win helped the Blue Raiders bounce back after suffering a 10-2 defeat to Jacksonville earlier in the day.
The Blue Raiders (4-10, 0-0) and Hornets (0-13, 0-0) fought in a back-and-forth battle featuring four lead changes. Alabama State struck first with a sacrifice fly to take an early lead, but MTSU responded with a two-run single from Ava Tepe, followed by a sacrifice hit from Jana Want to put the Blue Raiders ahead 3-1.
