MURFREESBORO, Tenn. —Special was the word of the day at the Adams Tennis Complex on Friday. Special is the best word to describe the trio of seniors that were celebrated on Friday in MTSU's final home matches of the season.
Special is exactly what the evening was as the No. 28 Blue Raiders swept Tennessee Tech and UT Southern by scores of 4-0 and 7-0, respectively, to improve to 18-7 on the season as its' senior class had one last special afternoon in front of the Middle Tennessee faithful.
The Blue Raiders started the Tennessee Tech match by grabbing the doubles point and then having all three freshman that were in the lineup clinch the remaining three points need to win.
