Blue Raiders Start Off Battle in the 'Boro Red Hot

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Kacper Szymkowiak has taken advantage of every opportunity the No. 45 Middle Tennessee (7-6) men's tennis coaching staff has given him in his debut season. On Friday night at the Adams Tennis Complex, he got another, playing in the top singles spot. The Wroclaw, Poland, native didn't disappoint, tying the match to spark a dominant singles performance in a 4-1 win over No. 55 Utah (6-3).

Middle Tennessee swept the first set on all six courts in singles play. Szymkowiak continued his strong start to the year by evening the match at 1-1 with a 6-2, 6-3 win, improving to 11-0 in singles play this season.
