MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders seemed pick up right where they left off a season ago, kicking off their 2024-25 preseason slate with a dominant 104-66 win over the UT Southern Firehawks at the Murphy Center on Friday night.
Middle Tennessee jumped out to an early 14-7 lead midway through the opening quarter with fifth-year senior Elina Arike knocking down her first pair of attempts from the field, both from beyond the arc. MTSU would go on to lead 28-17 after the first ten minutes of game-time. Following a dominant performance in the first half, Middle Tennessee control a 54-33 lead going into the halftime break.
