LEESBURG, Fla. — Middle Tennessee Softball split their two games on Opening Day, defeating Rutgers in their second game and dropping the first game to Louisville.
The Blue Raiders (1-1, 0-0) were firing on all cylinders vs. Rutgers (1-1, 0-0), winning the game by a score of 8-1. drove in on an RBI-double in the top of the first inning and the Blue Raiders never looked back. In the fourth inning, Middle Tennessee softball batted through the lineup that featured five straight runners reaching base. The inning saw a two-run home run from and drove in two more on a triple in her collegiate debut.
