MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Freshman had a great birthday at the dish for Middle Tennessee (19-30, 6-14 C-USA) on Saturday afternoon. The Trussville, Alabama, native scored a pair of runs and had a pair of hits to lead the Blue Raiders at the plate. Unfortunately, her team fell behind early and was unable to claw its way out of an early hole, falling 6-2 to LA Tech (34-17, 14-6) on Saturday at Blue Raider Softball Field.
With two outs and a full count in the top of the second, Lady Techster nine-hole hitter Kylie Neel lined a pitch into right field to score Katelin Cooper and drive in the game's first run.
