EL PASO, Texas — Middle Tennessee volleyball fell to UTEP by a score of 1-3 in the second match of the two-match series. The score was tied at one set a piece heading into the third, but the Blue Raiders could not hold off the Miners in the final sets, losing the third and fourth sets, each by a score of 25-23. The first two sets ended with scores of 20-25 and 25-18.
The Blue Raiders (11-15, 7-7) narrowly outhit the Miners (22-4, 12-2), with a hitting percentage of .163 compared to UTEP's .158. This match marked the third time Middle Tennessee volleyball outhit their opponent but lost the match.
