LYNCHBURG, Va. — Middle Tennessee softball dominated No. 24 Liberty, 8-2, handing the Flames their first Conference USA loss of the season on Friday, April 4. Jana Want crushed two three-run home runs to tie the program record with six RBIs in a single game — the first Blue Raider to do so since 2016. The mark also tied the RBI record at Kamphuis Field at Liberty Softball Stadium.
The Blue Raiders (18-19, 7-6 CUSA) were firing on all cylinders, combining timely hitting, strong pitching, and solid defense to take down Liberty (31-8, 11-1 CUSA).
