MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. – Middle Tennessee Softball fell in a pair of contests on the opening day of the Spring Games, falling 3-2 against UAlbany, before dropping a high-scoring 8-7 affair against Georgetown at R.O.C Park in Madeira Beach, Florida.

UAlbany struck first to take an early lead. The Great Danes opened the bottom of the first with a leadoff single to get things started. Dodd threw her first strikeout of the contest, but the Great Danes knocked a one-out double through the right side to plate their first run of the game and take a 1-0 lead.
