MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee softball fell to the FIU Panthers by a score of 7-4 in the series finale on Sunday, March 9.
The Blue Raiders (9-14, 1-2) offense started out hot with hitting a leadoff home run to begin the game. followed with a single, before hit a home run of her own to give Middle Tennessee an early 3-0 lead.
In the bottom of the inning, the Panthers (19-8, 2-1) scored two runs before scoring four in the third inning to bring the score to 6-3. hit a second home run in the fifth inning to cut the deficit to two, but that was all the offense MTSU had left in them.
