MURRAY, Ky. – Murray State (14-16) used a seven-run seventh inning to break the game open and take down the Blue Raiders (13-20) by a final score of 12-6 on a warm Wednesday night in Murray.
Prior to the bottom half of the inning, MT scored three time in the seventh to take a two-run lead. Blake Benefield belted a deep two-run homer to left center to give the Blue Raiders a one run advantage. Nick Carnevale would score on a passed ball to push MT's lead to two runs.
Tyler Duke delivered the game tying run in the bottom of the seventh for the Racers, followed by the go-ahead two-RBI double by Wes Schad.
