MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — In a midweek matchup, Middle Tennessee fell to Indiana 5-12 on Tuesday evening.
The Hoosiers (13-12) struck first in the opening frame on an RBI double to right center field and extended their lead to four after plating a trio of runs in the second. In the third, Indiana added to its lead again with a solo shot to right field.
The Blue Raiders (10-13) got on the board in the fourth, thanks to a pair of RBI singles from Briggs Rutter and Trace Phillips, however, the Hoosiers answered with a run in the bottom of the inning.
